Why Milk Protein?
Our formulas are made from 100% pure milk and contain no plant based proteins. Compared to plant based protein products, milk proteins and fats have excellent fatty acids and amino acids that better meet the needs of kittens, also easier to digest at the same time.
WHAT IS A2 PROTEIN MILK?
Traditionally, all cow’s milk contained A2/A2 beta casein. However, over time, there was a genetic mutation in cows in European dairy herds and an A1 beta-casein variation resulted in cows with two types of proteins – A1 and A2.
THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A1 AND A2 BETA PROTEIN
All mammals, including dogs and cats, produce 100% A2/A2 milk naturally. A1 beta casein protein is difficult to digest and is linked to a number of health issues in human and pets. The difference between The A1 and A2 variants of beta-casein differ at amino acid position 67. In A1 beta-casein protein, histidine (CAT) is in position 67.
RESEARCH FINDINGS
Research suggests that the A1 protein can be associated to various risk factors for mammal and animals health. It can be linked to heart disease, affect nervous endocrine and immune system and can also influence the development of baby animals. That's something we want to minimise.

Feeding Guide
Tu Meke Friend Kitten Milk Replacer is a formulated nutritional supplement for when the mother does not produce enough milk or as the sole feed with orphaned kittens. When possible, all kittens should be fed their mother’s milk for at least 2 days.
Mixing DirectionsAdd the contents of 1 sachet of formula per 4 teaspoons (20 ml) of clean warm water and shake or stir gently. Reconstituted formula must be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Unopened sachets should be stored in a cool, dry place.
Feeding Directions
Warm reconstituted formula to body temperature (do not use microwave) and shake or stir gently. Feed 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of liquid formula per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight daily. Divide the daily amount into 3 to 4 feedings and feed every 3 to 4 hours. Actual intakes of milk may vary depending on individual kitten needs, level of activity and breed. Weigh kittens at 3-day intervals to ensure adequate growth. Adjust feeding amount as required. After approximately 5 weeks the kitten will increasingly eat more solid food and you can gradually decrease the amount of kitten milk formula. Consult your veterinarian if kitten is not thriving.
